Visitors!!!

Cousins!!!

We are so fortunate we've had family and friends come and visit over the past couple of weeks! My sister Clari and her family came down for a weekend to spend time with us! A fun fact: our niece Vanessa and Lorraine share the same birthday...just 14 years apart! It's crazy to think both my sister and I had our firstborns on the same exact day, just wild!!!! Unfortunately Nessa wasn't able to make the trip down because she was at the University of Alabama for regional ODP soccer camp. She makes us all very proud with all her hard work, I can't wait to watch her play in college in just a couple of years!! Ivan was so adorable with Lorraine too, he just loves his new little cousin! It's awesome having family within driving distance and we're looking forward to driving up to Ft. Worth in October.

My dad was out in Texas visiting grands in Dallas and stopped by for a couple of days to meet his 4th granddaughter! We enjoyed his company even though it was a short visit and look forward to spending time with him again in November.

We celebrated my 27th birthday with Lorraine's auntie and my best friend Lauren!! This was her first time in Texas and of course it hovered around 100 degrees the entire time. But nonetheless we made the best of it! She has already spoiled her and I know Lorraine will grow up loving her as much as I do! Nelson was kind enough to watch Lorraine one night so we could enjoy a delicious Tex Mex dinner and some adult beverages...delicious food and so much fun!! Lauren is getting married in March and I really wanted to do some dress shopping while she was here since I live so far away. So we ventured out to a couple of boutiques per my request...her and Lorraine were such troopers! I can't wait for her big day, she is going to be a beautiful bride :) I was hoping to see her and another one of my besties Missy in September for her bachelorette weekend getaway, but Grandma Jo and Pops Lewis are coming to visit!!! So I'll see LP and Missy at her wedding in November, can't wait to celebrate with the stunning bride-to-be and our friends!

She LOVES Aunt Gena!!!!

So Nelson and I are soooo excited because my sister Gena and her little ones are relocating to Ft. Worth!!!! She came out last week to get stuff situated, pick up Byron and visit with us and Lorraine. And she was such a Godsend!!!!! Lorraine was so good for her, probably because my sister has two little girls of her own. We love them so much and are so blessed to have so much family close by...Christmas this year is going to be a lot of fun!!!!

Lorraine is babbling like crazy, she is going to be an early talker for sure!!!! I've started giving Lorraine Simethicone drops to see if it helps alleviate some of her colicky episodes. I'm not 100% convinced it helps but I've definitely seen an improvement. Whether that's due to the drops or the fact that colick tends to subside substantially by the 12th week, I don't know. But things are slowly getting better, we just take it day by day in the Lewis household :)

 Nelson is such a stud and enjoying his new job! Lorraine and I are incredibly fortunate for the sacrifices he makes for the betterment of our family! Us girls will be on our own again (Nelson's has had to go out of town a couple of times in the past few weeks) as he makes his way to Nashville,TN to visit his best friend and Lorraine's uncle James. They will be there to kick off the Gamecock football season, one of the many reasons I LOVE this time of year!!!! I know those two will have a blast, and it's much deserved :) Miss and love you all dearly...
